About The Position

Belay Technologies is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join our intel team. This candidate will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. They will analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities, guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. This role provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. The Senior Systems Engineer will also develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation. They will guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. This role involves interacting with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, and holds ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. The position requires communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general system engineering experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience
  • A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience
  • A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.

  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.

  • Develops technical documentation.

  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
