About The Position

Robert Bosch LLC seeks Senior Systems Engineers to lead the complete end-to-end development of customer features. This role involves overseeing all aspects of customer feature development, including coordinating the feature team, serving as the single point of contact, and tracking development progress. The engineer will deploy in-depth knowledge of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) vehicle integration and vehicle car key interoperability with iPhone and Android devices, covering RF/HW, software, system design, and overall vehicle integration. Responsibilities include performing the localization of UWB devices such as cell phones using machine learning methods on low-cost/low-power hardware, utilizing debugging tools to evaluate vehicle system behavior and performance, and serving as the complete end-to-end owner of feature development. The role also requires communicating and collaborating with the customer to identify, analyze, and confirm requirements, developing requirements, contributing to system modeling and system component design, leading the feature development team, performing and planning feature team tasks, tracking and reporting team progress, and acting as the hands-on technical expert for the feature team. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for configuration management and baselining, coordinating and tracking activities with local and offshore system test teams, and monitoring change and defect management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Software Developer, Functional Software Developer or in an occupation involving feature and functions development in automotive system software environment.
  • Employment experience with End-to-End feature development using UWB + BLE Vehicle Access System following all aspects of Product Deployment (System requirement + architecture and SW requirement, arch, design and implementation per protocols (CCC, IEEE 4z, and Mobile device Keys management (Apple and Google)).
  • Employment experience with Machine Learning for development of UWB localization and Calibration features of the Digital Key system.
  • Employment experience with Radio Frequency Gen2 Hardware development (antenna design and analysis for UWB & BLE devices,) starting from concept to prototyping for prove out (PCB design, EMC analysis, RF performance characterization and regulatory compliance) and then maturing system to production for automotive applications meeting CCC and IEEE requirements.
  • Employment experience with In-vehicle systems debugging (onsite + Field) to perform real time analysis, debugging and solution development in vehicle across hardware, system and software.
  • Employment experience with Mobile device providers (Apple, Google, and Samsung) to integrate and debug system and SW issues that impact digital key performance in Automotive applications.
  • Employment experience with Development tools (DOORS, Rhapsody, Vector, DNG, Rhapsody, PlantUML, MS Visio, VS Code, Git, Python ML libs (TensorFlow and Scikit-learn), MATLAB, and Wireshark).

Responsibilities
