Ascendium is seeking multiple Senior Program Officers to serve as lead strategy execution officers within its core philanthropic strategy teams: Expand Opportunity, Support Learner Success, and Connect and Align Systems. These roles require expertise in areas such as workforce reentry, community college transformation, state-level cross-sector systems alignment, policy, or external affairs. Senior Program Officers will collaborate with national partners, fund innovative solutions, and contribute to knowledge generation aimed at improving outcomes for learners from low-income backgrounds. The positions involve designing, managing, and reviewing strategic portfolios, implementing sophisticated philanthropic practices, analyzing grant concepts and proposals, and developing proactive initiatives. Collaboration with the Senior Learning and Impact Officer is crucial for identifying strategic learning needs, monitoring learning agendas, distilling insights, and refining grantmaking strategies. The role also emphasizes building subject matter expertise and providing field leadership through thought partnership, facilitating connections among stakeholders, and sharing Ascendium's learning and perspective.
