About The Position

Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) is focused on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community (IC) customers. We work within the IC to understand their requirements, shape their concepts of operation, and deliver exquisite capability across their problem set. We aim to develop and deploy critically needed capabilities that address our customers' most pressing national security requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering foundation in a core discipline such as software engineering, hardware design, or FPGA development.
  • 6+ years of experience documenting and developing system requirements in support of new product design, development and testing.
  • Experience as a lead system architect for complex hardware and software systems, owning the architecture decisions from concept to execution.
  • Experience developing system architectures and design artifacts for products spanning hardware, software, and firmware.
  • Hands-on experience with system modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, including familiarity with SysML v1.x and/or v2.0, and a willingness to learn and adopt next-generation agentic system modeling tools.
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing engineering workflows and processes - including building automated workflows (e.g., requirements/model synchronization, traceability checks, document generation, CI-driven verification) to reduce manual effort and increase engineering throughput.
  • Demonstrated ability to decompose complex systems with competing objectives (e.g., performance, schedule, openness, cybersecurity) into executable requirements and execution then delivering on those to meet government expectations.
  • Strong technical communication skills, providing the ability to deliver critical technical briefings and conclusions to technical leadership, company leadership, and customers.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority across hardware, software, and firmware disciplines.
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain at least an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and document system architectures for complex hardware/software systems, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and allocation of requirements to hardware, software, and firmware elements.
  • Establish and maintain traceability between requirements, designs, and tests to ensure the final product meets the specified requirements.
  • Collaborate with a fast-paced and quick reaction hardware and software design and development team.
  • Build, develop and integrate system models; incorporating inputs from stakeholder requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents.
  • Own the system model as the authoritative source of design intent - structure, behavior, interfaces, and requirements allocation - using next-generation agentic modeling tools rather than traditional desktop MBSE suites.
  • Lead system-level design reviews, internally and externally and own the technical baseline coming out of them.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, including: Benefits At Anduril, we invest in our people. Our comprehensive, competitive benefits package (available at little to no cost to employees) ensures you’re supported in health, recovery, and whatever comes next.
