Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE) to provide enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support within the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering practices to define system architecture, manage interfaces, and ensure traceability of requirements to technical solutions. This role involves developing and maintaining system models using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, as well as utilizing computer-based simulations to analyze and optimize the performance of complex systems. In addition to supporting the programs and customer Digital transformation initiatives/roadmap, the successful candidate will also support the Systems Integration team (SI) performing the following: Provides systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule and implement projects from inception through system transition. Problems and issues faced can fluctuate and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem and determine appropriate resolution. Communicate with many levels of program, other contractors and government stakeholders and works to positively influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures and practices. Manage system integration projects and provide reliable data to the Customer enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the installation, integration checkout and test of operational system modifications and upgrades.

Requirements

  • Practical experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, including system modeling with Cameo, or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with Digital Engineering practices and tool chains to enhance design, integration, and test workflows.
  • Experience with high level programming languages (e.g. Python).
  • Demonstrated engineering technical abilities and project management experience.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external customers in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor).
  • Active and transferable TS/SCI with CI Polygraph U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with systems installation, integration, and test activities.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages (Python, C++, etc.).
  • Experience with Request for Change (RFC) impact reviews and assessment processes.
  • Experience with customer NSIS requirements and rapid delivery methods.
  • Evidence of strong customer relationships and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working across contract and location boundaries.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and collaborative engineering tools.
  • Ability to convey complex technical issues clearly through both oral and written communication.
