About The Position

Join a cross-functional team developing, specifying, and testing mission-critical Department of Defense cybersecurity devices. You will design security architectures and protocols, develop cryptographic key-management strategies, and perform hands-on testing in the Interoperability Test Bed (ITB) for secure voice, data, and conferencing solutions. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience with cryptographic algorithms and secure communication systems.
  • Experience writing technical specifications and test plans.
  • Experience performing black-box testing of complex systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop security architectures, cryptographic specifications, and secure communication protocols.
  • Define and support cryptographic key-management strategies.
  • Create test plans and execute black-box testing for cybersecurity devices.
  • Lead integration, interoperability, verification, and validation activities in the ITB.
  • Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams to deliver secure mission solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI to improve engineering processes and technical outcomes.
