About The Position

Join a cross-functional team developing, specifying, and testing mission-critical Department of War cybersecurity devices. You will design security architectures and protocols, develop cryptographic key-management strategies, and perform hands-on testing in the Interoperability Test Bed (ITB) for secure voice, data, and conferencing solutions.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Experience with cryptographic algorithms and secure communication systems.
Experience writing technical specifications and test plans.
Experience performing black-box testing of complex systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Develop security architectures, cryptographic specifications, and secure communication protocols.
Define and support cryptographic key-management strategies.
Create test plans and execute black-box testing for cybersecurity devices.
Lead integration, interoperability, verification, and validation activities in the ITB.
Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams to deliver secure mission solutions.
Identify opportunities to apply AI to improve engineering processes and technical outcomes.
