Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in a Test Lead role.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.
  • Collins Aerospace’s Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) experience.
  • Avionics test lead experience.
  • Experience (military or civil aircraft) in avionics systems, specifically testing and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge / understanding of data busses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429).
  • Experience with TLDB, DOORS, PREP, JIRA and Microsoft Office Suite is desired.
  • Strong organizational skills including associated documentation.
  • Communicate with a wide variety of technical and management personnel as well the customer, normally active-duty military and associated contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
  • Perform Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) activities for the CH-53K Israel program.
  • Be responsible for the overall testing for the CH-53K Israel customer of different Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) updates.
  • Formulating requirements/test procedures, preparing and coordinating test events.
  • Preparing test schedules, test statuses and the test environment.
  • Maintain, support, investigate the Collins Aerospace lab hardware and environment; including integration and investigation of the interfaces for Collins Aerospace equipment and government furnished equipment in the lab.
  • Design system solutions, ensuring the integration of Collins Aerospace products into complex upgrade programs.
  • Navigate through the bids & pursuits, adhering to Collins Processes.
  • Research test requirements and prepare test plans and procedures.
