About The Position

The Air District is hiring a Senior Systems Analyst in its Enterprise Technology Solutions Division. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Power Platform solutions in collaboration with IT and cross-functional teams. Work includes defining and documenting business requirements; developing Power Apps and Power Automate workflows; integrating secure, efficient data connections using Dataverse and other sources; and creating dashboards and reports with Power BI. The analyst provides technical leadership and ensures accuracy, timely delivery, and ongoing maintenance of applications that improve processes, data integrity, and decision-making. A strong customer focus is required to understand business needs, deliver user-friendly solutions, and support seamless implementation. This is an advanced lead-level position in the systems analyst series. The incumbent performs complex work, provides lead direction to project teams, resolves complex issues, and develops advanced technical solutions. The role is distinguished from Principal Systems Analyst by its narrower leadership scope, and from Supervising Systems Analyst because it does not continuously assign, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff. The position is in the Enterprise Technology Solutions Division, which provides technology, data, and digital services supporting the Air District’s mission and business operations. The division delivers secure, reliable technology solutions and is responsible for enterprise applications, data management, business intelligence, system integration, cloud technologies, digital services, records management, and information security. Current initiatives include expanding enterprise analytics, modernizing platforms, improving data accessibility and quality, supporting digital service delivery, and implementing solutions to improve organizational effectiveness. This is one full-time, limited-term contract position, anticipated to last three years. Limited Term Contract Employee positions are funded by grants or other designated funds, are subject to individual employment contracts, and are limited to the duration of their funding source. LTCE employees serve at will and are not subject to the terms of the Employee Association MOU. Regular employees may apply. A hybrid work schedule may be available depending on the assignment and operational needs; the position is not eligible to be fully remote.
