Senior Systems Analyst - API Integration
About The Position
Fidelity is seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to partner with engineering, architecture, and product teams to analyze, document, and support scalable software solutions. The role translates business needs into clear technical requirements for current and future use cases, with a focus on integrations with external APIs and understanding system behavior, APIs, and technical workflows. The analyst works with collaborators including engineers, architects, UX, and product owners in an agile environment. Responsibilities include supporting technical requirements for frontend and middle-tier systems, contributing to roadmap planning, articulating sprint-level value, and maintaining documentation for engineering and business stakeholders. Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Current onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of Systems Analysis or related experience.
- Ability to read and understand documentation for integrations with external APIs.
- Proficiency analyzing developer documentation to understand system behavior, APIs, and technical workflows.
- Expertise translating technical requirements, including requirements for frontend and middle-tier systems.
- Strong understanding of modern technology application architectures and full-stack development concepts.
- Experience collaborating with developers on Angular, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, AWS, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with data observability platforms such as Datadog and Splunk, and API tools such as SwaggerHub, Bruno, and/or Insomnia.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience understanding and translating business logic into clear functional and technical requirements in an agile Scrum environment.
- Experience writing Jira user stories and acceptance criteria and supporting quarterly roadmap planning with Engineering and business stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to quickly learn and navigate complex systems end-to-end.
- Collaborative mindset, customer-focused approach, and ability to articulate sprint-level value.
- Strong documentation skills, including user stories, workflows, and system diagrams.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation in Confluence.
Responsibilities

- Write technical requirements, including Jira user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Support quarterly roadmap planning in collaboration with Engineering and business stakeholders.
- Create and maintain documentation, including user stories, workflows, system diagrams, and Confluence materials.
- Work in an agile Scrum environment and articulate sprint-level value.
