About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AEGIS Based Defense Aegis System Equipped Vessel Senior Systems Analyst to join our team! In this role you will you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field, or equivalent work experience that meets guidelines established for job Master's Degree or equivalent, may be preferred at this level
  • 8+ years of related professional experience
  • Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
  • Aegis Weapon System Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree and 12+ years of experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with 20+ years of experience
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
  • Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Support new construction shipbuilding programs, with proven project management experience.
  • Provide guidance and understanding of USN ship installation requirements and processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of engineering documentation (requirements, design modifications, etc.) and support vessel construction, commissioning, testing, and final handover.
  • Prepare and present platform product status updates, reports, and technical briefings to stakeholders and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) customer.
  • Rapidly assess the scope of construction-impacting technical issues and expedite communication (data and information) of the issue appropriate cognizant SME and program office representative to drive resolution.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate the scope, status, and potential impact of the technical issue to ensure construction schedule impacts are understood by the MDA and Japan shipbuilder teams.
  • Identify areas that slow down or do not support acceleration of approvals of technical issues and resolutions.
