About The Position

This role provides comprehensive support to Project Managers and Project Engineering personnel, focusing on critical areas such as project scheduling, configuration management, finance, contracting, data analysis, database development, report preparation, and test documentation. The position requires subject matter expertise in C-5 landing gear, flight controls, and cargo loading, with a strong emphasis on technical support at Robins AFB. Responsibilities include reviewing technical data, supporting Technical Assistance Requests, analyzing system and component level faults, identifying solutions for aircraft deficiencies, and participating in or leading test and project events. The role also involves utilizing various data systems and providing expert analysis for configuration and engineering review boards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline required.
5+ years of professional experience in the required task area.
Ability to understand aircraft electrical wiring diagrams, aircraft drawings, Fault Isolation (FI) guides, technical order (TO) and work unit code (WUC) documentation required.
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally to present material and briefings to management and government personnel required.
Must be a US citizen.
Active Secret clearance or higher required.

Responsibilities

Provide support to Project Manager or Project Engineering personnel in areas of project scheduling, configuration management, finance and accounting, contracting, limited data analyses, database development or data gathering, preparation of technical/program reports or briefings, test plans and reports, and associated documentation, test or validation/verification assistance.
Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Project Engineer, reporting status and results.
Plan/oversee test or project events as assigned by Program Manager or Engineering supervisor, reporting status and results.
Provide subject matter expertise in C-5 landing gear, flight controls and cargo loading.
Provide technical support at Robins AFB.
Review technical data for accuracy and thoroughness, and provide recommendations for change or improvement.
Provide support for Technical Assistance Requests including 107’s, and 202’s.
Provide analysis support to Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Engineering Requirements Review Board (ERRB).
Effectively use data systems such as FEDLOG, LIMS-EV, D043, D035, FEDMALL, HAYSTACK, ATEAMS.
Provide support on performing system and component level fault isolation of aircraft electrical and electronics systems using technical data and wiring schematics.
Perform testing or project events as assigned by Program Manager and report status, results and proposed solutions.
Identify and evaluate alternate solutions for the functional system Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) and avionic deficiencies which adversely affect aircraft safety, readiness, and sustainability.
Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) on project events as assigned by Program Manager and report status and results.
Other duties as assigned.
