About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in Augusta, GA. This is an onsite position. MANTECH has been a trusted partner to the Department of Defense since 1968, delivering cutting-edge projects in areas like Cybersecurity, IT, and Data Analytics. This role involves applying systems administration principles throughout the system's lifecycle, identifying and articulating system uncertainties, risks, and opportunities, and supporting requirements management and change management processes. The position also includes translating analysis results into actionable recommendations, developing workflows, building and executing requirements traceability, and supporting the adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Additionally, the role provides hardware and applications support for cloud applications and systems.

Requirements

  • HS and 13 years of experience; Associates and 11 years of experience; BS/BA and 9 years of experience or Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 5 years of position-relevant work experience. A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education
  • DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II certification
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure services to support native cloud support of DevOps tools Operational Support and DevOps technologies.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large- and small-scale systems.
  • Experience with one or more of the following scripting languages: Shell, Python, JavaScript, Typescript and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Linux environments, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or other comparable products.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and with software development using Java or RESTful services.
  • Must have a current/active DoD TS/SCI

Nice To Haves

  • Experience develop and integrating highly complex DevOps pipelines, including build automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Experience in provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining version control systems (Git), build tools, and continuous integration tools (CloudBees, Jenkins).

Responsibilities

  • Apply system’s administration principles throughout the system’s lifecycle phases: production, utilization and support.
  • Identifies and articulates major uncertainties associated with systems configurations, defining risks and opportunities associated with uncertainties.
  • Supports requirements management, interface management, and architecture change management processes.
  • Translating analysis results into actionable recommendations for Government agencies; develop workflows and activity diagrams based on concept of operations.
  • Builds and executes requirements traceability; supports development of implementable strategies to address sponsor challenges with adoption of MBSE and associated tools.
  • Provide hardware and applications support for the cloud application and system.
