The Systems Administrator SME must have: ● Education: Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university ● Certification in good standing which qualifies for CWQMP (formerly CWIP) Basic Proficiency Level ● Experience: 15+ years of related experience ● Technical skills: Linux (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu), Windows Active Directory, LDAP, VMWare, management of virtual machines and hypervisors, Gitlab administration, automated build/runners, Netbackup, Ansible, Basic networking, Implementation and enforcement of security policies, and integration with enterprise security monitor systems and log collection ● Security clearance level: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required ● US citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
  • Provide problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide basic and advanced problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Communicate of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning
  • Assuring completion of the resolution process.
  • Provides in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
  • Configures and manages Linux operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Supports the design of secure systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
  • Analyzes and resolves complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
