About The Position

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to work for our company. The client agency is Defense Logistics Agency. This role ensures the stable operation of DLA’s Okta environments. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links within DLA’s Okta footprint. The administrator will organize and direct the configuration and operation of DLA’s Okta. Responsibilities include analyzing and resolving end-user software program and connectivity issues, conducting capacity and performance analysis, and providing system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. The role aims to increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy through automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures, and conduct system administrator training and skills assessment. Additionally, the position provides end-user training and recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision. Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installations of servers and applications, both locally and remotely within the DLA Okta footprint. The Senior Systems Administrator will direct the work of other system administrators for day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization, and user assistance. This role applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications and ensuring fault tolerance.

Requirements

Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
Relevant Okta certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
Five (5) years of overall professional experience supporting Okta environments with progressively higher responsibility in the IT field.
Fully trained with demonstrable experience deploying and maintaining Okta environments for large enterprises.
Well-versed in configuring Okta integrations to work with typical enterprise technologies like Active Directory, firewalls, APIs, Zero Trust endpoints, etc.
Oral presentation experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Ensures the stable operation of DLA’s Okta environments.
Plans, develops, installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes all network software and communication links within DLA’s Okta footprint.

Provides local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems within the DLA Okta footprint.

Directs the work of other system administrators to provide day-to-day system administration including system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance.
