About The Position

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at our Papago Park Campus. This position works a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Join our team as a Senior Systems Administrator and help power the technology that supports life-saving work for thousands of animals each year. As the Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the technology infrastructure that supports the Arizona Humane Society's life-saving mission. You will be responsible for planning, installing, upgrading, monitoring, and maintaining servers, virtualization, storage, networking, Microsoft 365, VoIP, security systems, backups, and business applications to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations across the organization. In this role, you'll provide advanced technical support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing security updates and disaster recovery processes, maintaining IT documentation and asset inventories, and supporting end users across multiple campuses. You'll also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, assist with infrastructure projects, and help implement technology solutions that keep our teams connected and our mission moving forward.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in an information technology area or equivalent experience required.
  • 5 years of systems administration and network administration experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems.
  • Active Directory/LDAP user and group policy administration.
  • Managing servers' virtualization technologies like VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, or AZURE.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN Routing and Switching administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • 1-2 years of Microsoft O365 administration and configuration experience.
  • Experience with VOIP phone systems.
  • Must possess good communication skills and can relate well with employees at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g. Security+, Network+, CCNA, etc.) preferred.
  • CCNA or CompTIA Network+ preferred
  • 1-2 years of AZURE administration experience preferred.
  • Windows PowerShell scripting experience helpful.
