About The Position

This role focuses on integrating simulation frameworks with various hardware components, including bench wiring, loads, instrumentation, and ECU hardware, software, and calibrations. The engineer will observe, report, and facilitate issue resolution for diverse vehicle domains such as Electrification, Active Safety, Chassis, and Body Controls. Key responsibilities include developing new bench capabilities, enhancing simulation models, improving efficiency and processing, and implementing automation. The position involves designing, implementing, and testing novel HIL bench solutions, simulation, and instrumentation for new vehicle features and technologies. The engineer will also develop test configurations and real-time Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation models using Matlab and Simulink, adapting and integrating controllers and plant models for Chassis, Active Safety, Electrification, and Propulsion Systems. Developing and adapting Vehicle Dynamics simulation models (e.g., CarSim, VeDyna, or ASM-VD) and creating solutions for instrumentation and simulation of Electronic Controls Unit (ECU) sensors and actuators are also part of the role. Additionally, the engineer will develop HIL test automation and scripting solutions, train and support lab users, define bench and test property technical requirements, and perform electrical design integration and verification. The work policy is Hybrid, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, requiring the ability to report to a local office.
