About The Position

This role involves integrating a simulation framework with various hardware components, including bench wiring, loads, instrumentation, and ECU hardware, software, and calibrations. The engineer will observe, report, and facilitate the resolution of issues across different vehicle domains like Electrification, Active Safety, Chassis, and Body Controls. Key responsibilities include developing new bench capabilities, enhancing simulation models, improving efficiency and processing, and implementing automation. The position also requires designing, implementing, and testing novel HIL bench solutions, simulation, and instrumentation for new vehicle features and technologies. Collaboration with bench users is essential for developing test configurations and real-time Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation models using Matlab and Simulink. The engineer will adapt and integrate controllers and plant models for Chassis, Active Safety, Electrification, and Propulsion Systems with the HIL bench, and develop/adapt Vehicle Dynamics simulation models (e.g., CarSim, VeDyna, or ASM-VD). Additionally, the role involves developing solutions for instrumentation and simulation of ECU sensors and actuators, creating HIL test automation and scripting solutions, training and supporting lab users, defining bench and test property technical requirements, and performing electrical design integration and verification. The position operates under a Hybrid Work Policy, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the ability to report to a local office.
