About The Position

At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale. The Role: As a Senior ADAS System Safety Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the safety of GM’s advanced driver assistance systems. You will lead and deliver safety cases for assigned ADAS features DAA2.0 (Driver Attention Assist), RIM (Rear Imminent Mitigation) and Next Gen Super Cruise by executing the GM System Safety Process in vehicle applications. Your work will directly contribute to GM’s vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion. You bring both technical depth and big-picture thinking – balancing safety, performance, and feature availability – while driving innovation from concept through vehicle launch. In this role, you will influence how safety is designed, analyzed, validated, and continuously improved across complex ADAS systems. We are looking for a highly energetic, creative problem-solver and technical leader who can own system safety work end-to-end, collaborate across disciplines, and evolve our safety methodology to meet the challenges of next-generation vehicle platforms.
