Senior System Integrator
About The Position
Design Solutions and Integration (DSI) is seeking experienced Senior System Integrators to support industrial automation, controls, and digital transformation projects throughout the oil and gas industry. This position collaborates remotely with local system integrators, Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) technicians, engineering teams, and customer personnel to assess, maintain, optimize, and modernize industrial control systems. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, dependable, and technically proficient professional with extensive oilfield automation experience. Successful candidates will possess strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality technical solutions that improve customer operations. We are currently recruiting for two distinct Senior System Integrator positions. Field Support & System Assessment (Travel Required) This role combines remote work with rotational field assignments and travel to customer facilities.
Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years of oil and gas automation, controls, and system integration experience.
- Demonstrated experience performing startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field service activities.
- Experience conducting site audits, system assessments, and field verification activities.
- Working knowledge of instrumentation installation, calibration, and troubleshooting practices.
- Ability to document existing control systems, communications infrastructure, and field devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, communications networks, and instrumentation systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to safely work in industrial and oilfield environments.
- Associate degree or higher in Instrumentation, Automation, Controls, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, RTU, and instrumentation systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and develop control system architecture drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs.
- Experience troubleshooting, commissioning, validating, and supporting industrial control systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within remote and field-based teams.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to successfully pass customer-required background checks and drug screening requirements, when applicable.

Responsibilities
- Conduct field audits, site assessments, and system evaluations.
- Capture and document existing PLC, HMI, SCADA, RTU, and network configurations.
- Perform control system architecture discovery and documentation updates.
- Support testing, commissioning, validation, and startup activities.
- Identify opportunities for system optimization, reliability improvements, and standardization.
- Implement approved modifications and upgrades to customer automation and control systems.
- Provide onsite troubleshooting and technical support for operational issues.
- Support customer maintenance, project execution, and system modernization initiatives.
