About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Systems Integrator & System Administrator to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is seeking a Systems Integrator & System Administrator in Huntsville, AL, to build and operate the computing infrastructure for an on-premise AI system supporting the H-1 flight simulator. You will manage the GPU-based development and training environments, prepare and secure systems for customer use, support installation and integration, and maintain the infrastructure through testing and sustainment.

Requirements

  • Preferred experience range: 5–8 years of systems integration and system administration experience in a DoD or similarly controlled environment. Demonstrated ability to perform the role will be considered regardless of total years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience building and administering GPU-based Linux systems, including NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, containers, and storage/networking for compute-intensive workloads.
  • Experience securing Linux systems using STIGs, vulnerability scanning, and remediation processes.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining containerized systems using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%, including extended on-site support for installation, testing, and technical reviews.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) for customer system accounts and site access.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Flight simulator or training device facility experience, including work alongside instructor operator stations and simulator networks
  • Distributed simulation network setup (HLA or DIS) and RTI configuration
  • Security+ or equivalent certification; familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 controls
  • Experience writing administrator documentation for a Government customer

Responsibilities

  • Specify, build, and maintain GPU-based computing, storage, and network infrastructure for AI development, training, and testing.
  • Build and maintain the development and training environment, including Linux systems, containers, GPU software, storage, and backups.
  • Secure and maintain systems in accordance with applicable STIG, vulnerability-management, and CUI requirements.
  • Install and integrate systems at the customer site, support testing and demonstrations, and troubleshoot system or integration issues.
  • Manage software, model, and data transfers between controlled environments while maintaining required security and data-handling procedures.
  • Develop system administration documentation and support transition and sustainment of the environment.
