About The Position
Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join its Corporate Security team. The role is responsible for engineering, administering, and maintaining classified and unclassified networks. The work environment includes Windows 11, Active Directory/Group Policy, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and VMware vSphere/ESXi. The position is based in the Herndon, Virginia office, with potential local travel to other company sites. On-call support for outages is required as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience supporting an Intelligence Community classified network (such as JWICS) as a System Engineer, Network Engineer, or Network Administrator.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced professional industry certifications and additional experience may be substituted.
- An 8140 certification, such as Security+, GCISP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+, CISM, CISSP, or CCNA.
- Solid experience supporting Windows servers and workstations.
- Working knowledge of the Linux environment.
- Solid experience working with routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience building a firewall.
- Experience setting up network attached storage (NAS).
- Working knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow and Talon.
- Working knowledge of government regulations such as the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-171.
- Basic understanding of a security compliance matrix.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain networks for classified and unclassified use.
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations.
- Administer user accounts and access controls, including creating accounts, assigning permissions, and enforcing security access policies to ensure compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Perform system backups and data recovery.
- Provide on-call support for outages as needed.
