About The Position

PMdigital.ai is looking for a Senior System Engineer to support the Air Force Operational Medicine Information Systems (AFOMIS) Program Office and AFCENT Surgeon General (AFCENT/SG) on the Medical Expeditionary Systems (MEDXS) program. MEDXS provides full life-cycle IM/IT support for the Air Force Medical Service's operational medicine capabilities. That includes the MEDXS Web Portal, the medical Waiver Management System, analytics dashboards, and Theater Medical Information Program–Joint (TMIP-J) applications used by deployed medical forces at garrison and forward locations in the USCENTCOM AOR. The Senior System Engineer handles requirements planning, configuration, and sustainment for MEDXS and TMIP-J capabilities. You'll keep the enterprise hosting environment secure, compliant, and deployable, and support mobilization to theater.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of directly relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, configuring, and sustaining: TMIP-J applications and DAF standard server and workstation baseline images
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, configuring, and sustaining: medical waiver workflow systems and medical analytics dashboards in an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, configuring, and sustaining: integrated IM/IT testing capability in physical and virtual environments
  • Hands-on experience with military health IT, enterprise network nodes, and OCONUS theater mobilization.
  • DCWF Work Role 641 (Systems Requirements Planner), Intermediate proficiency per DoDM 8140.03.
  • OCONUS Readiness Requirements (below).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AFCENT or other COCOM deployed medical IM/IT.
  • Experience supporting medical systems hosted on FedRAMP-approved hosting.

Responsibilities

  • Define and plan system requirements for AFOMIS OpMed IM/IT programs, and give expert recommendations on system concepts, design, and interoperability.
  • Implement, configure, and sustain TMIP-J applications and DAF standard server and workstation baseline images.
  • Sustain the medical waiver workflow systems and the medical analytics dashboards.
  • Keep the integrated test environment ready in both physical and virtual setups.
  • Run and document system health, performance, and security checks every 24 hours for critical servers and weekly for all other systems.
  • Provide remote system engineering support to the AFMED Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO).
  • Conduct site surveys, installations, upgrades, and pre- and post-installation testing (integration, configuration, and IA) at theater and CONUS/OCONUS sites.
  • Contribute to configuration management audits and RMF documentation to keep the ATO and ATC current.
