Erias Ventures is seeking a System Engineer who analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. This role involves analyzing system requirements and leading design and development activities, guiding users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. The engineer will provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Responsibilities include developing technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation. The role also involves guiding system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. The engineer will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, holding ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area. The position is part of a team that designs, implements, and maintains DevOps resources for multiple product teams, enabling teams to automate build and deployment where possible. This includes contributing to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, managing system requirements, coordinating the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, participating in Integrated Product Teams, and defining interfaces. The role also involves allocating real-time process budgets, deriving lower-level requirements, generating alternative system concepts, establishing and approving system or component definitions, defining verification methods, developing system design solutions, and developing derived requirements for Information Assurance Services. Additionally, the engineer will review and provide input to work breakdown structures, provide technical direction for complex hardware/software systems, implement comprehensive SOA solutions, develop DoDAF-compliant architectures, and conduct quantitative analysis in non-functional system performance areas. The role requires managing the technical integrity of the system baseline, planning verification efforts, supporting C&A processes, and developing JCIDS documents. The engineer will also conduct end-to-end system trade analyses, improve standard integration strategies, define interfaces, use validated models for risk mitigation, develop alternative courses of action for risks, and monitor risks using EVM data. Maintaining knowledge of applicable standards and ensuring their use is crucial, as is serving as a member of the CCB and developing system design alternatives.
