About The Position

Erias Ventures is seeking a System Engineer who analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. This role involves analyzing system requirements and leading design and development activities. The engineer will guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. They will provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. The position also requires developing technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation. The engineer will guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interaction with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts is expected. The ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility lies with this role. Communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required.
  • Twenty (20) years-experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software.
  • Linux skills: Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Analysis capabilities.
  • Communications.
  • Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash.
  • SOP development.
  • Familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Security Plus Certification (or willingness to attain within 6 months).
  • Experience with RTRG Mission analytics operation and use.
  • Monitoring OS and Applications.
  • Good communications skills written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead small team of WD shift personnel.
  • Ability to direct and provide meaningful guidance to teammates.
  • Maintain schedules as required.

  • Ability to read a variety of Graphs of systems information and interpret them to discern correct operations.
  • Ability to dissect complex issues and generate concise accurate status.
  • Generating metrics and reports for submission to customers using disparate data sources.
  • Generating SOPs for use by the members of the Watch desk and/or customers.
  • Ability to lead small team of WD shift personnel.
  • Ability to direct and provide meaningful guidance to teammates.
  • Maintain schedules as required.
