About The Position

The Systems Engineer designs, implements, supports, and evolves enterprise infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, stability, and security across the organization. The role includes extensive work with VMware virtualization, Veeam backup and recovery, Active Directory, and storage platforms. Pure Storage experience is a strong plus.

The engineer supports and optimizes virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), including Citrix-based solutions, and collaborates with networking and security teams. Palo Alto firewall experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with infrastructure visibility and automation tools such as Infoblox, Faddom, and NetBrain is a plus. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, sound judgment in production environments, can work independently, and contributes effectively within a collaborative IT team.

This is an onsite position in Odessa, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure systems to maintain high availability, performance, and security.
• Maintain, upgrade, and evolve core infrastructure to ensure stability, performance, and security.
• Upgrade and support server environments.
• Assist with major core infrastructure initiatives.
• Administer VMware, Veeam, and Active Directory platforms.
• Support and optimize virtual desktop infrastructure environments, including Citrix technologies.
• Collaborate with networking and security teams.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and operate effectively in production environments.
