About The Position
The Senior System Analyst will be responsible for developing system design specifications, including the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements. This role involves creating specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, networks, security, storage, and software configurations. The analyst will also develop structured diagrams, compile and maintain configurations, and create system documentation, including operational and installation procedures. They will develop guidelines and upgrade techniques for new operational procedures and detailed systems operations designs. The position requires working with staff to plan program systems implementation, enhancements, and changes, as well as creating, testing, and maintaining program systems. Responsibilities include designing reports, audit trails/logs, and security mechanisms. The analyst will provide assistance to technical support staff, occasionally contact customers to clarify feature intent or resolve problems, and offer general programming assistance to other programmers/projects.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:
- Writing application software, data analysis, data access
- Data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation
- Technical and user documentation, software conversions
- Exposure to environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid-range, personal computers, laptops
- Lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions
- DOT NET Development
- Both the Front and Backend processing of Web Applications
- Oracle and SQL Server database usage
Responsibilities
- Develop system design specifications
- Develops and prepares documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
- Develops specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations.
- Develops structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs.
- Develops, compiles, maintains and documents configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems.
- Develop system documentation
- Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
- Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.
- Develop detailed systems operations designs.
- Perform System Design/ Work with staff (e.g, managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program systems implementation, enhancements and changes
- Create, test and maintain program systems
- Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms
- Provide assistance to technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves
- Occasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem
- Provide general programming assistance to other programmers/projects as may be needed.
