About The Position

The Senior Systems Analyst – Workday is responsible for the administration, security, integration, and continuous improvement of the Workday platform, supporting HCM, Finance, and Payroll business functions. This role serves as a senior subject matter expert for Workday Security, Business Process Framework, Reporting, and integrations developed using Workday Studio. The ideal candidate brings strong functional knowledge across HR, Payroll, and Financial processes, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to lead and execute system changes using a structured, project-based approach.

Requirements

  • Florida residency required.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise systems, including HR, Finance, or Payroll platforms.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on Workday experience supporting HCM and Finance, including Payroll.
  • Strong functional experience with Workday Security, Business Process Framework, and Reporting.
  • Hands‑on Workday Studio experience (required).
  • Proven experience supporting integrations and complex data flows.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data integrity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable supporting critical business cycles (payroll, financial close, releases)

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience leading or supporting system implementations and enhancements.
  • Workday Pro certification(s) in HCM, Payroll, Finance, or Security.
  • Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools and ITIL-based incident and change management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, support, and maintain Workday HCM, Finance, and Payroll functionality.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance teams to support day‑to‑day operations, monthly/biweekly payroll cycles, audits, and financial processing.
  • Troubleshoot configuration, calculation, and data issues impacting workforce, payroll, and financial transactions.
  • Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and consistency across Workday and integrated systems.
  • Perform other job‑related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support organizational and departmental objectives.
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot inbound and outbound integrations developed using Workday Studio.
  • Analyze integration failures, data mapping issues, and transformation logic.
  • Coordinate integration changes with internal teams and third‑party vendors.
  • Participate in integration testing and production releases.
  • Design, configure, and maintain Workday security using role‑based and user‑based models across HCM, Finance, and Payroll.
  • Manage security domains, business process security policies, and role inheritance.
  • Support access provisioning, periodic access reviews, audits, and segregation of duties requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve security-related issues and user access discrepancies.
  • Configure and optimize Workday business processes, including approvals, notifications, condition rules, and validations.
  • Perform impact analysis for business process and security changes affecting HR, Payroll, and Finance operations.
  • Recommend and implement workflow enhancements that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
  • Design, build, and maintain standard and advanced Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
  • Support operational, leadership, financial, and audit reporting needs.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues related to data logic, security visibility, and performance.
  • Lead or support Workday-related projects, enhancements, and system initiatives across HCM, Finance, and Payroll.
  • Follow formal change control processes, including documentation, approvals, and testing.
  • Plan and execute unit, E2E, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Support Workday biannual releases and system upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, configuration documentation, process flows, and job aids.
  • Gather and document requirements; translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Serve as a mentor and escalation point for junior analysts.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
