About The Position

Summit Federal Services, LLC (SFS) is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support the CBL Battle Lab Facility at Fort Gordon, GA. This role is crucial for supporting the CBL mission, which involves providing experimentation support to the C-CDID through dynamic network experimentation integrated with various cyber domains. The Senior System Administrator will contribute to experiments, assessments, analyses, and network support to validate new technical solutions for capability gaps within the cyber modernization efforts.

Requirements

  • Must possess (and be maintaining) current Security+CE CompTIA commercial certification (or higher, such as CISSP, etc.).
  • Must possess (and be maintaining) current certification for Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Server 2012.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience or equivalent administrating networks and systems, worked directly in the career field during five (5) of the preceding eight (8) years.
  • Must possess advanced IT administrator skills in remote administration, remote desktop, Group Policy Object (GPO) management, system backup and recovery, and monitor servers for performance evaluation and optimization.
  • Must possess advanced IT Administrator skills in Collaboration Services, e.g., Adobe Connect Server, Chat Services, SharePoint Portal, Electronic Email (Exchange) Server.
  • Must possess advance skills in datacenter management, Cloud Services, virtualization, storage area networks (SANs), data/system backups, and asset management.
  • Must possess expert remote troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Must obtain and Maintain a Top Secret Security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Within six months of hire must obtain either: VMWare certification VCPS-DCV; or Udemy training certification VMware ESX and VSphere Admin Tutorial; or ITU training certification VMware vSphere VCP5.5.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the CBL Battle Lab Facility located at Fort Gordon GA.
  • Perform experiments, assessments, analyses and network support.
  • Validate proposed new technical solutions to resolve known Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership & Education, Personnel, Facilities Policy (DOTMLPF-P) capability gaps within the CO, EW, Network, and IA force modernization lines of effort.
  • Administer networks and systems.
  • Perform remote administration, remote desktop, Group Policy Object (GPO) management, system backup and recovery.
  • Monitor servers for performance evaluation and optimization.
  • Manage Collaboration Services, e.g., Adobe Connect Server, Chat Services, SharePoint Portal, Electronic Email (Exchange) Server.
  • Manage datacenter operations, Cloud Services, virtualization, storage area networks (SANs), data/system backups, and asset management.
  • Provide expert remote troubleshooting and customer service.
  • Maintain Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) status.
  • Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security clearance with SCI eligibility.
