The Sr. System Administrator is a senior technical position responsible for the administration, operation, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) enterprise information technology infrastructure supporting the Tidewater region and remote sites. This position is responsible for the availability, performance, security, and resiliency of servers, networks, virtualization platforms, endpoints, security appliances, communications systems, and other enterprise infrastructure. The Sr. System Administrator provides advanced technical support, performs system and network troubleshooting, leads root-cause analysis, implements corrective actions, and recommends infrastructure improvements to maintain a secure and reliable operating environment. The position also supports CGS Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity requirements, including monitoring, documentation, vulnerability management, system hardening, security controls, incident response, and evidence collection in support of applicable contractual and regulatory requirements, including DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171. The Sr. System Administrator works closely with management, corporate and division IT personnel, cybersecurity personnel, users, external partners, consultants, agencies, and vendors to resolve complex technical issues and develop, implement, and maintain effective infrastructure and security solutions. The position requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Windows client operating systems, Active Directory, Hyper-V virtualization, enterprise networking, firewalls, endpoint security, vulnerability management, logging and monitoring, identity and access management, and related enterprise technologies.
