About The Position

We're a small team at Apple betting on what comes next. We believe AI will fundamentally change how people interact with their devices — and we're looking for software engineers who want to build that future. We can't say much about what we're building for our customers. What we can say: the problems are genuinely new and the potential reach is enormous. Beyond the work, we're a collaborative, humble, and curious group that loves learning from each other and building together. You'll work alongside a tight group of engineers, designers, and researchers to bring AI features from early prototype to product. This is 0-to-1 work — from a rough idea on a whiteboard to software running on real devices. You'll have a lot of autonomy in how you get there.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mobile or application development experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals.
• Shipped software that people relied on.
• Ability to unblock yourself and figure things out independently.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by problems without obvious answers.
• Ability to work well across teams and build trust with design and engineering partners.
• Ability to make people around you better through mentoring, shaping technical direction, and approaching hard problems.
• Experience using AI in your code and a desire to find new applications for it.
• B.S. Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Nice To Haves

• iOS and Swift experience.
• Deep experience in one or more iOS/macOS domains: system services, UI frameworks, concurrent application architecture, or performance optimization.
• Experience wiring together LLM-powered systems yourself — agents, tool orchestration, prompt engineering — and having opinions about what worked and what didn't.
• Being at the frontier of new model drops or new techniques.
• A sharp eye for detail.
• A point of view on where human-AI interaction is headed and the instinct to know what it should feel like when it gets there.

Responsibilities

• Bring AI features from early prototype to product.
• Work on 0-to-1 projects, from initial idea to software on real devices.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and researchers.
• Mentor team members, shape technical direction, and approach hard problems.
• Integrate AI into the coding process and explore new ways to use it.
