About The Position

The Senior Supply Chain Specialist manages logistics project activities and ensures successful progression of internal and external customer milestones. During launch projects, this position acts as team lead. The role is responsible for supplying pre-series parts and delivering pre-series transmissions to customers while coordinating across functions throughout the logistics department.

The position leads interdepartmental project activities, manages project task lists, works with ZF teams and global supply chain management, ensures material availability for production and pre-series builds, and leads continuous improvement of material and information flow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdepartmental activities with management to define project class, scope, and required resources.
• Manage, review, and ensure maintenance of the New Parts List or comparable product-based project task list for all relevant topics.
• Act as team lead and work with ZF launch management, logistics, purchasing, quality, sales, and global supply chain management to support business development, capacity, and continuity.
• Ensure material availability for the ZFTG production schedule and independent pre-series and bank-build orders by reviewing stock levels, vendor performance, and production schedules; identify potential shortfalls and report status reviews for all build phases.
• Lead projects and processes to continuously improve material and information flow.
• Manage logistics project activities and customer milestones, including pre-series parts supply and pre-series transmission deliveries.
