About The Position

L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Quality Supervisor. This role involves communicating and interfacing with company leaders, peers, direct reports, and customers (internal and external). The individual will be responsible and accountable for applying quality principles, technical knowledge, and continuous improvement philosophies. This position involves leading and supporting the daily activities within the Quality Inspection team and cultivating a culture of quality both within the team and across the site. The role also assists in maintaining quality and mission assurance strategies to ensure quality products meet customer requirements at the lowest cost.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Supervisor experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Supervisor experience.

Nice To Haves

• Prior leadership/supervisory experience.
• Experience with inspection equipment and attribute gauging.
• Inspections (in process, 1st article, receiving inspections).
• Experience with calibrations for calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify conformance to prints.
• ISO-9001, AS-9100.
• Reading of blueprints, data, manuals, QADs or other materials to determine specifications, procedures or instruments required for inspection.

Responsibilities

• Supervises individual(s) typically consisting of support level employees.
• Provides day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.
• Reviews inspection, production schedules and manpower resources.
• Assigns and manages employees to maximize inspection objectives.
• Participates in establishing and modifying inspection methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures.
• Maintains reports, records and inspection documents.
• Establishes training plans.
