About The Position

Tribute is seeking a Senior Superintendent / Lead Superintendent to lead field execution for a 183-unit, four-story multifamily project in downtown Asheville, NC. This is a high-impact role on a technically demanding job featuring constrained-site logistics, upcoming ground improvements, elevators, terraced foundations, large-span common and commercial areas with significant steel and metal, and a steel bridge connecting portions of the building. Site work is underway now, vertical construction is expected to begin in approximately five months, and the remaining duration is roughly 24 months. This urban site has surplus acreage, which can accommodate additional apartment, office, or hotel builds in the future and present an opportunity for a successful superintendent to spearhead a pipeline of work that will span many years.

Requirements

  • Highly organized field leader with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to push the pace of a disciplined jobsite without creating unnecessary friction.
  • Superintendent experience on multifamily or similarly complex projects.
  • Sound field judgment.
  • Credibility with subcontractors and internal crews.
  • Ability to maintain standards through consistency.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Valid driver’s license and current insurance.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on-site in varying conditions.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.
  • Lead day-to-day field execution, site logistics, and sequencing from ground improvements through vertical construction and closeout.
  • Implement and adjust construction schedules, manage delays effectively, and develop solutions that keep the project moving.
  • Oversee subcontractor coordination, self-performed scopes, project contracts, and change order requests as needed.
  • Maintain strong documentation, site organization, and communication with project leadership, inspectors, and trades.
  • Perform material takeoffs when necessary and stay hands-on from start to finish, with pride in craftsmanship and ownership of the finished product.
