Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling a minimum of fifteen-twenty years in technically oriented contracting.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently while effectively leading cross‑functional teams.
  • Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, openness in communication, and commitment to supporting a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in contracting roles with international exposure
  • Direct experience with engineering‑related contracting in the nuclear industry
  • Experience working with DOE National Laboratories and understanding of their operational frameworks
  • Technical or subject‑matter background (education or experience‑based)

Responsibilities

  • Lead contract management activities for assigned programs, clients, or TerraPower projects, including government contracts, subcontracts, grants, government funding opportunities, and commercial agreements.
  • Serve as TerraPower’s primary interface with external government and commercial customer contracting organizations for assigned programs, ensuring consistent communication and alignment throughout contract development and execution.
  • Oversee and support Business Development activities through review, negotiation strategy, and leadership of agreement execution.
  • Provide ongoing oversight of executed contracts with emphasis on compliance, change control, risk management, quality, cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Support department leadership by contributing to process improvements, tool development, staff training, and budget planning and control.
  • Coordinate and lead cross‑functional engagement with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and other internal stakeholders to support contract strategy, development, and administration.
  • Provide subcontract management oversight and guidance as required, partnering with Procurement to implement subcontracting strategies.
  • Ensure contract files, documentation, and approvals are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
