As a Sub-System Lead Engineer focused on High Voltage Battery Management Systems and embedded vehicle mechatronics controls, you will drive innovation in the complex field of Battery State Estimation. In this role, you will optimize system performance to enable GM Electrification Programs to deliver safe, accurate, and efficient battery performance for our customers. The Sub-System Lead Engineer (SSLE) is a highly skilled individual contributor recognized for their expertise across the entire vehicle development lifecycle. This role encompasses responsibilities such as requirements definition, design and implementation, testing, and problem resolution. Proficiency in agile methodologies, systems engineering, requirements management, and embedded controls development and calibration is highly desirable. A strong motivation to grow both technically and professionally—combined with a “Requirements First” mindset and a strong sense of ownership while contributing to some of General Motors’ most innovative features—is essential for success in this role.
