About The Position
The Senior Structural Project Engineer will work for a client in the manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for the design of structural systems to account for transport, live, and seismic loads. This is a contract to possible hire role that is a long-term need for the client. This role must be worked on-site.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- 6+ years of experience as a team lead or supervisor
- Experience with AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor or Solidworks)
Responsibilities
- Design of structural systems to account for transport, live and seismic loads
- Review structural designs for compliance to codes (UFC, IBC, ANSI, ASCE)
- Attend job kick off meetings and participate in design reviews with customers
- Prepare and update task lists
- Track schedules and budgets
- Provide technical input to the CAD design team
- Interface with other departments to resolve technical issues
