About The Position

Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) Infrastructure is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer with experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams on small to large-scale engineering projects. The role involves working on technically challenging projects from concept to completion, including water supply dams, hydraulic structures, municipal stormwater management infrastructure, flood protection works, earth retention structures, river diversion works, and tailings dams. This position can be based in Calgary, Edmonton, or Saskatoon. Requirements

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Canada or eligibility for registration in Alberta.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
15+ years of engineering experience in the design and construction of dams, hydraulic structures, and other water infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Technical expertise in reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience in contributing to proposals and technical reports.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of construction methodology and scheduling, with experience in administrating construction contracts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Dam safety inspections, dam safety reviews, failure mode and effects assessments, and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

Lead structural and civil engineering designs for dams, hydraulic structures, and other water infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project deliverables.
Participate in site visits to inform design decisions and ensure quality throughout project execution.
Work and collaborate with KCB employees from other offices in Canada and from our international offices on multi-disciplinary teams.
Mentor and coach junior engineers and support the development of team technical expertise.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts.
Travel periodically to project locations, typically in Alberta, but also to other Canadian provinces and international locations.
