About The Position

This is a high-visibility career opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer who wants meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to leadership, and a clear path toward project management. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and project leaders while having the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work directly with clients, contribute to technical decisions, and develop the leadership skills needed to move into an Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager role within approximately 2–3 years. This position offers a diverse mix of approximately 65% Structural Design and 35% Investigative / Forensic Engineering. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple aspects of the business rather than being limited to a narrow role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Strong experience with structural materials, calculations, and design
  • Experience with vertical building structures
  • Comfortable performing both design and investigative work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and thrive in different roles
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
  • Interest in developing APM / Project Manager responsibilities
  • Must be local to the Oklahoma City area
  • Experience with Revit

Nice To Haves

  • PE/SE preferred, or ability to obtain Oklahoma licensure within a reasonable timeframe

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Structural Engineer of Record on projects
  • Perform structural analysis, calculations, and design for vertical building structures
  • Develop complete construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations
  • Provide pre-design services including data gathering, conceptual design, planning, and structural system selection
  • Coordinate structural work with architects and other design disciplines
  • Work directly with clients and help determine practical solutions
  • Manage smaller project teams and take increasing ownership of projects
  • Assist with proposals, project budgets, and project planning
  • Provide construction-phase support, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, site observations, and reports
  • Perform structural investigations, failure evaluations, and condition assessments
  • Lead or assist with on-site data collection and analytical efforts
  • Develop analytical models and written reports based on investigation findings
  • Perform peer reviews of structural engineering documents
  • Participate in quality-control reviews
  • Mentor developing engineers and serve as a technical resource
  • Contribute to process improvement and the continued growth of the organization
