Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience, 5+ years of timber engineering experience
  • PE or P.Eng.,SE preferred.
  • Seismic design experience
  • Advanced proficiency in ETABS, SAP, equivalent finite element software
  • Advanced MS Excel and Intermediate MS Word
  • Knowledge of mass timber systems
  • A knack for leading teams and mentoring others
  • Outstanding time management and financial management abilities
  • Innovative mindset with ability to promote new ideas with sound business potential

Responsibilities

  • Lead mass timber project teams from concept through construction
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships in the US market
  • Design complex mass timber structures including CLT, glulam, and hybrid systems
  • Contribute to the development of company engineering standards for mass timber
  • Mentor rising engineers in timber design practices and seismic theory
  • Become a recognized expert in mass timber within the firm and profession
