Senior Structural Engineer
About The Position
AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Chelmsford, MA. This role involves planning and designing new structures and existing structure rehabilitations, developing load rating tools for complex cable stayed structures, and performing calculations and creating detailed engineering plans for new and existing structures. The engineer will also evaluate existing structures for safety, damage, and compliance, recommending necessary repairs. Responsibilities include conducting site investigations and risk assessments, overseeing budgets, schedules, and quality control during design and construction, and training, guiding, and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field of study
- 10 years of experience as a Structural Engineer or in a related occupation
- Advanced FEA analysis and design, proficiency
