Senior Strategy & Operations Associate

Genius AINew York, NY
$120,000 - $150,000Onsite

About The Position

We're building a team of high-impact generalists who thrive in ambiguity and turn strategic priorities into operational reality. As a Strategy & Operations Associate on our New Products team, you'll work directly with the GM of New Products across every function, product, GTM, ops, and everything in between, to help take our newest AI product bets from early-stage build to scaled, successful businesses. You'll go deep where a bet needs focused ownership and wide where it needs a generalist who can connect the dots across teams. You'll help define the strategy for where we start, how we sequence, and how we unlock more over time. You will report to the GM of New Products. You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters and will operate in an in-person environment. We default to being in-office 3-4 days per week with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional work experience with a track record of driving results; preference for prior experience working in consulting, finance or related field
  • Experience at a high-growth startup is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience building with AI tools and systems, you've shipped things that work
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to design clean experiments and interpret data
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity, thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment with competing deadlines, and re-prioritize demands as events change
  • Passion for empowering small business owners to be successful; possess a high level of empathy for our customers and a strong desire to deeply understand their needs

Responsibilities

  • Help define the initial strategy for each new bet: who we serve first, what problem we solve, and how we will know it is working
  • Own early customer acquisition, testing growth tactics and closing our first customers before a scalable growth model exists
  • Run continuous experiments on launched products to unlock the next lever in adoption and retention
  • Shape what we build next by translating market and customer signal into a prioritized roadmap
  • Build the AI-powered workflows behind our research, modeling, and reporting so a small team operates with the capacity of a much larger one and your judgment goes to what is genuinely novel
  • Help set pricing and packaging strategy, backed by financial modeling on unit economics and margins
  • Evaluate expansion opportunities, vendor partnerships, and integrations that get a product to market or into a new segment faster
  • Establish the operating rhythm that keeps cross-functional teams aligned, shipping weekly, and correcting quickly when the data says to
