Nice To Haves

  • 1.5+ years previous media planning experience.
  • Understanding of advanced analytics and performance media.
  • Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics, and concepts.
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the media planning process.
  • Robust proficiency in basic functions within systems and tools related to the media planning process (e.g., media management system, billing system, competitive and targeting tools).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and sell through ideas both internally and to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of sound, strategic media plans with guidance from a Supervisor, based on client direction and media principles.
  • Analyze consumer research and competitive intelligence findings.
  • Collaborate on the development of Points of View (POVs) for new media opportunities.
  • Partner with junior and senior team members to generate presentation decks, finalize presentations, and participate in client presentations.
  • Strengthen understanding of media strategy and applications, and proactively participate in internal training and development opportunities.
  • Manipulate and analyze large datasets, including TV attribution models and their outputs.
  • Collaborate on reporting for all traditional channels, providing insights and implications.
  • Create reports to showcase findings.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with core clients and industry partners as a Horizon Next contact.
  • Own and ensure accuracy of billing, budgets, and flowcharts.
  • Manage day-to-day team projects, proof junior team members' work, and manage timelines and deliverables for internal and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee junior team members' engagement and interactions with other Horizon Next departments (e.g., Investment, Traffic, Operations).
  • Guide the growth of Assistants and/or Strategists within Horizon Next and the industry, providing education on best practices and media principles.
  • Contribute to performance reviews of junior team members, identifying strengths and areas for growth.
  • Participate in the interview process for Assistant/Strategist roles.
