About The Position

The senior strategic communications manager will lead the communications planning process along with the execution and delivery of communications associated with the enterprise strategic plan and initiatives supporting achievement of the plan. This individual will partner closely with the strategy and change management offices to innovate and accelerate communications that drive employee engagement and alignment across the organization. As Allied Solutions undergoes intentional, enterprise transformation, this individual will play a critical role in fostering a culture of collaboration and shaping internal change management communications that inspire behavior change and adoption. Additionally, this role will act as a thought partner on internal and external executive communications, providing counsel and supporting the development and delivery of high-impact messaging for senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8-10 years in internal or employee communications, corporate communications or related field with a track record of successful communications project management.
  • Knowledge of best practices for change management communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 products, including SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with AP Style.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker, who can connect the dots and translate complex initiatives into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Strong collaborator and relationship builder who is comfortable consulting and advising senior leaders.
  • Leverage digital tools and analytics reporting to optimize communication effectiveness.
  • Organized and independent with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain brand guidelines and voice across all communications, while managing separate brands.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messages for different voices, audiences and communication channels.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in change management communications preferred.
  • Experience with digital tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, email marketing and content management systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage enterprise internal communications for One Allied and associated initiatives.
  • Act as thought partner with strategy office, change management office, HRBPs, and subject-matter experts to recommend communications strategies and tactics to achieve organizational alignment and advance the employee understanding of and participation in the strategic plan.
  • Bring strong understanding of change management communications and how to drive behavior change through clear messages that convey the why, while supporting a holistic, ADKAR-based change management approach.
  • Serve as corporate communications business partner for key business areas, such as product, enablement and distribution.
  • Manage delivery of communications via internal channels such as intranet, newsletters, Viva Engage, town halls and more.
  • Consistently deliver engaging content through innovative channels or storytelling.
  • Build on library of Business Blueprints videos.
  • Develop executive messaging and positioning while coaching leaders on message delivery.
  • Support leader succession transitions with thorough and thoughtful communications.
  • Curate content for the internal CEO newsletter.
  • Support development of strategies for internal, executive thought leadership and external elevation of our employer brand and leader profiles.
  • Produce high-quality content for internal (i.e. intranet, email, town halls, etc.) and external (i.e. social media, corporate website, etc.) channels.
  • Lead content planning for Blue Forum town halls to deliver timely and contextualized conversations that elevate leadership visibility and connect associates to key initiatives.
  • Model Allied’s Blue Culture values and attributes.
  • Integrate Blue Culture into communications by consistently embedding values and language to reinforce cultural adoption and engagement.
  • Support and participate in activities associated with Blue Culture, such as community volunteer opportunities.
