About The Position
The Senior Strategic Buyer leads sourcing strategy and supplier management for assigned commodities, driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and long-term value creation. This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment with business objectives, while proactively identifying opportunities for innovation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement best practices
- Strong SAP and MRP system expertise
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes related to assigned commodities
- Strong business acumen and ability to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals
- Advanced negotiation, communication, and influencing skills
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive measurable results
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost modeling and market analysis
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and quality focus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Sound decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and resilience under pressure
