About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This role is responsible for ensuring patient care and surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in a quality timely manner throughout the health system. The technician will assist with supply and instrument needs, follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies and Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines. They must be able to recognize potential and actual processing errors, notify management, and follow-up according to procedure or instruction. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintains continuity in work flow, utilizing applicable inventory systems in use.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Certified and maintain certification in Central Service Technology.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Fifteen months experience in Sterile Processing and/or Central Distribution is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
