This role is responsible for ensuring patient care and surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in a quality timely manner throughout the health system. The technician will assist with supply and instrument needs, follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies and Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines. They must be able to recognize potential and actual processing errors, notify management, and follow-up according to procedure or instruction. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintains continuity in work flow, utilizing applicable inventory systems in use.
