About The Position
Ability to work well with a team and focus on priorities for Operating Room schedule. Decontaminates, prepares, packages and sterilizes surgical instrumentation and supplies. Performs all duties of a Certified Sterile Technician. Meets daily required distribution of processed materials with proper documentation and reports submitted. Assures proper instrumentation requirements for the surgical schedule as indicated by supervisor and SPD/OR Liaison. Operates the sterilizer and ensures that staff is producing a minimum of 4 trays each.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years previous experience in this job classification required.
- Computer knowledge required.
- Good interpersonal skills necessary.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from a Central Services Technician course and Certification preferred.
- 5 years preferred experience in this job classification.
