About The Position

The Department of Medical Education at the Morsani College of Medicine seeks an open-rank faculty biostatistician for its Research, Innovation, and Scholarly Endeavors (RISE) Office. The role provides advanced biostatistical and methodological support to faculty, trainees, and research teams across USF Health and affiliated institutions. Its primary responsibility is statistical research support rather than independently developing or leading a research program. The faculty member collaborates with investigators across clinical and translational research, providing support with study design, protocol development, database management, statistical analysis, power and sample-size calculations, and interpretation of findings. Work also includes regulatory submissions, data collection, manuscript preparation, dissemination of results, and grant development. The role contributes to research productivity through rigorous analysis and interdisciplinary collaboration. The position also teaches statistics and clinical research methods, mentors learners and investigators, trains staff, and serves as a resource for faculty and staff engaged in scholarly activities. Administrative work includes assisting with RISE events, committee or working-group service, and oversight associated with research activities.
