About The Position

The Senior Staff Test Engineer applies broad expertise in test engineering to support company objectives and goals. The role addresses significant and unique technical issues requiring conceptual analysis, independent judgment, and responsibility for results that may affect the broader business. At the senior level, the engineer provides thought leadership, builds cross-functional networks, contributes to projects with organization-wide impact, and may serve as a subject matter expert or technical lead directing others. The role involves communicating advanced technical information to diverse stakeholders and being accountable for individual and team results. The engineer works with team members and leadership to establish schedules, meet commitments, identify and close readiness gaps, provide or request technical support, and resolve priority conflicts or reset expectations. Renesas is scaling its AI-focused power delivery business, with products including Smart Power Stages, point-of-load products, hot-swap/eFuse products, and MOSFETs. The position develops test programs and solutions for new product introduction, quality, and capability initiatives; supports product qualification, characterization, correlation, production ramp, yield, and customer-return activities; and helps define test-group processes and quality practices. It also involves test-platform expertise, mentoring and training engineers, supporting laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance, and managing external technical relationships. The role is a regular position, and remote work is not available.
