About The Position
The Gemini App Horizontal Agentic Platform and Infrastructure team is responsible for serving and agentic infrastructure for the Gemini App, including server architecture, query flow and harness, and tools and dashboards that help keep the service running. The team works quickly to take features from ideation to launch and describes itself as innovative, bottom-up, and non-bureaucratic. In this role, you will build the next-generation serving stack for the evolving Gemini App, adapt to changing product needs, and help the organization move quickly through infrastructure initiatives. The position calls for technical leadership, effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders, and the ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities and uncertainty.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
- Experience building, scaling, and debugging backend serving infrastructure or LLM-centric architectures.
- Experience leading the technical development and successful launch of high-impact software products, particularly in AI, ML, or LLM.

- Build high-quality serving infrastructure by inventing novel solutions, solving complex problems, and providing technical guidance to the team.

- Articulate the team’s goal and charter to executive leadership and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment across the Gemini App organization.
- Cross-pollinate ideas and apply learnings across projects, contributing to a helpful and collaborative team environment.
- Work and communicate effectively with distributed team members across international time zones to align priorities and keep projects moving forward.
